This Privacy Policy explains how Mettecc collects, uses, and protects personal information through Mettecc.com and related waitlist, survey, and product-validation activities.

Mettecc is currently a product-development project. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Mettecc,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the person or entity operating Mettecc.com.

1. What information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to run the Mettecc project, test interest in our product, improve the website, and communicate with people who choose to hear from us.

• Newsletter preferences, if you choose to join a Mettecc newsletter in the future.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as health information, government identification numbers, payment card information, or financial information through the landing page.

5. Newsletter and marketing emails

If you join the waitlist, we may send you updates related to Mettecc, the Capulus Cup, product development, surveys, and launch information.

If we create a newsletter, we may invite you to join it. We will not automatically add you to unrelated marketing lists without a proper basis to do so.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us directly.

We do not share your personal information with unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing. We only share information where needed to operate, improve, protect, or measure the Mettecc project, or where required by law.

Mettecc is currently focused on Iceland and the United States. Some of the service providers we use may process or store information outside your country, including in the United States or the European Economic Area.

9. How long we keep information

For waitlist and product-validation information, we generally keep the information until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the Mettecc project.

Unless a longer period is required for legal, security, or legitimate business reasons, we aim to delete or anonymize waitlist and related product-validation information no later than 12 months after the product launch.

Mettecc.com is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no website, email system, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should not submit sensitive personal information through the landing page.

13. Product availability and validation

Mettecc.com may be used to test interest in products that are still in development. Joining the waitlist, completing a survey, or clicking a product button does not create a purchase, reservation, guarantee of availability, or obligation to buy.

If the website uses a “Buy Now” or similar button for validation, we will not collect payment through the landing page unless this is clearly stated and proper checkout terms are provided.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Mettecc project, website, tools, or legal requirements change.

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Where required, we may also notify users directly or request renewed consent.
